The Aloo Capsicum recipe is not only very easy to make but also very palatable. Aloo capsicum is a Punjabi dish. It is dry vegetable dish without any gravy. Here potato and capsicum is cooked with some spices. It is a no onion and no garlic recipe. This is a very easy recipe for the beginners.

Description: This sabzi can be served with roti or paratha. It can also be served as a side dish with dal rice. If your kids hate eating Shimla Mirch try this recipe for them. Thus you can give them Aloo capsicum ki sabzi in tiffin also so your child can have taste and nutrition both together.
Aloo Capsicum Recipe Ingredients:
- Capsicum/ shimla mirch/ green bell pepper – 3 to 4 medium sized
- Potato – 3 to 4 medium size
- Turmeric powder/ haldi – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ¾ tsp
- Garam masala – ¾ tsp
- Amchur – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2-3 tsp (Saffola Oil)
- Cumin seeds/ jeera – ½ tsp.
Method for Aloo Capsicum Recipe:
- Wash and cut the capsicum in cubes.
- Wash, peel and cut the potatoes in cubes.
- Heat oil in a wok/kadhai.
- Add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
- Now add the potatoes. Saute potatoes until they are semi cooked.
- Now add the capsicum. Mix well.
- Also, add salt to taste and turmeric powder.
- Saute both capsicum and potatoes on a low flame.
- Cover with a lid and let the vegetables get cooked in a low flame.
- Keep stirring in between to avoid the vegetables getting burnt.
- When the vegetables are cooked add red chilli powder, amchur powder and garam masala. Mix well.
- Switch off the flame after 1 minute.
- Aloo capsicum sabzi is ready.

Garnishing:
- Garnish with green coriander leaves.
- Serve with phulka roti or paratha.
- It can also be served as a side dish with dal rice.

- Onions can also be added.
- To make the dish more colourful you can add red and yellow capsicum also.
- Little amount of water can be added to give a moist texture.
- Tomato can also be added.
