Ingredients for Baked Potato Chips Recipe:
- Potatoes – 500 gm
- Salt – 2 tsp
- Water – 9-10 cups
- Oil for greasing
Method for Baked Potato Chips Recipe:
- Take a bowl. Add 3 cups of water in it. Also add 1 tsp of salt. Mix well so that salt gets dissolved in water.
- Now take potatoes and peel them. Slice them directly in the water bowl with the help of a slicer.
- Repeat the same process with all potatoes.
- Now take a pan. Add 6-7 cups of water in it. Add 1 tsp of salt also. Bring the water to boil.
- Strain the potato slice and put them in the boiling water. Cook for 3-4 minutes on high flame.
- Switch off the stove. Cover the pan with a lid. Let the potato slice be immersed in hot water for 3-4 minutes.
- Strain them with the help of a strainer.
- The slices have to be translucent after the process of blanching.
- Put the slices in the other bowl. Add 1 tbsp oil and some salt. Gently mix so that the oil is very well coated on all chips. If required some more oil can be added.
- Now take a lightly oiled baking tray. Arrange single slice on it with some distance between the two slices.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
- Do keep a check as oven temperature vary.
- When the chips get crispy and light golden remove them from the oven.
- Once they get cool immediately store them in an air-tight container.
- Tasty crispy baked potato chips are ready to eat.

Chips are not only eaten alone but as a side dish with sandwiches. The combo of chips and sandwich is famous. So if you are planning to make sandwiches you can prepare this chips a day or two before and store in an airtight container.
The preparation requires some hard work and time too to make the chips when you are free of your daily routine household chores. You can make a vrat version of this dish by adding rock salt/ sendha namak instead of the normal one. Thus the chips for fast are also ready.

- You can also bake this chips in a microwave. The steps are same up to step 9. After that take a microwave safe tray. Arrange a layer of paper napkins. Arrange the slices of potato same as above. Now put the tray in microwave and cook for 3 minutes in high power. Now flip the chips and cook for 2 minutes on 60% power. Check if crispy or not. If not then cook for some more time accordingly.
