Cherry Crisp Recipe Ingredients:
- Crumbled Cookies – 1 Cup large
- Red Cherries – 5 Cups (frozen)
- Cornstarch – 2 tbsp
- Melted Butter – 2 tbsp
- Sugar – 3 tbsp.
- Ice cream – ½ pack (optional)
Note: You can also use Bread Crumbs instead of Crumbled Cookies.
Cherry Crisp Recipe Steps:
Pre-Preparation:
Take the baking dish and grease with melted butter evenly.
Note: The Cherry Crisp Recipe has two variations for making dessert – hot and cold. If you want to bake then preheat the oven.
Preparation:
- Combine cornstarch with sugar in a bowl. Knead properly with hands.
- Take a non-stick saucepan, and add cherries. Stir the cherries with the sprinkled mixture of corn flour and sugar. Keep the flame medium and cook for 15 minutes till the mixture gets thick and starts giving bubbles.
- Mix crumbles cookies with butter and pecans in one large bowl. Whisk well to give a proper cookie mixture rich in texture and flavor.
- In a plate, transfer first the cherry mixture and then form another layer of cookie layer.
If you are using microwave, then apply both the mixture over the baking dish one over other and bake for half hour.
Note: Bake the dish at 450 degree C.
