Ingredients for Chocolate Marzipan Recipe:

  • Cocoa Powder – 2 tbsp.
  • Sugar – 1 cup.
  • Cashew Nuts – 1 cup.
  • Vanilla Powder – 1 tsp.
  • Water – 4 tbsp.
  • Coconut (Desiccated) – ½ cup
  • Oil – as required.

Note: You can use vanilla extract instead of vanilla powder. You can use olive oil when making the marzipan.

Method of Making Chocolate Marzipan:

  • Take a mixer grinder jar and clean it with a dry cloth.
  • Add cashew nuts in the jar.
  • Add ¼ cup water in the jar and grind it.
  • Make a smooth cashew nut paste of it.
  • Now, take a non-stick frying pan and place it on the stove.
  • Add 4 tbsp. water in the pan.
  • Add 1 cup sugar in the water and turn on the flame.
  • Heat the water until the sugar dissolves.
  • As the sugar melts, add cashew nut paste into the pan.
  • Keep heating the mixture until it thickens.
  • Add Vanilla powder to the mixture and mix it well.
  • Now, add cocoa powder to the pan and mix again.
  • Keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
  • As the mixture become thick, turn off the flame.
  • Let the mixture cools down to room temperature.
  • Using the moulds of any shape, give shape to the cool mixture.
  • You can even roll it between your palm and give them circular shape.
  • Apply olive oil to your hands or moulds or it will get stuck.
  • Take a plate and add desiccated coconut to the plate.
  • Spread the desiccated coconut throughout the plate.
  • Now, roll the chocolate marzipan in the desiccated coconut.
  • You can even sprinkle the desiccated coconut if you made it of some other shape.
  • Serve the chocolate marzipan to your kids or store it in an air-tight container.

Remarks:

  • If you do not have olive oil, you can get it from here.
  • If you are using vanilla extract instead of powder, take little less than 1 tsp.
  • You may use Almonds, Pistachios or any other dry fruits as well.
  • When melting sugar in the water, keep stirring it.
